Senator Obama, GROW UP.

Quit whining already. The Oval Office of the President of the United States is no place for babies. Your hypersensitivity act is getting really old, really fast.
That’s especially true when YOU dish it out first. If you can’t stand the heat, please stay out of the kitchen.
When John McCain named Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate a week ago, Obama spokesperson Bill Burton responded with the following statement (emphasis added):
“Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency. Governor Palin shares John McCain’s commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade, the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush’s failed economic policies — that’s not the change we need, it’s just more of the same.”
By the way, did anyone notice how the Obama campaign conveniently forgot to mention Sarah Palin’s executive experience as Governor of Alaska in the above statement?
When Sarah Palin gave her address to the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night, she fought back by saying:
I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a “community organizer,” except that you have actual responsibilities. I might add that in small towns, we don’t quite know what to make of a candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they are listening, and then talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns when those people aren’t listening.
and
…My fellow citizens, the American presidency is not supposed to be a journey of “personal discovery.” This world of threats and dangers is not just a community, and it doesn’t just need an organizer.
Like the bully who goes crying to Mommy when they’ve picked on the wrong person, the Obama campaign predictably cried foul.
The Obama campaign knows full well that Gov. Palin was not criticizing community organizers in general.
They know she was making a legitimate comparison between her resume as a small-town mayor (and Governor) — remember, he went there first — and his resume as a community organizer with regard to qualifications to be President.
But whenever Barack Obama is sufficiently challenged, he resorts to playing the victim.
God forbid Barack Obama should be elected President on November 4; but if that happens, one hates to think what he will do if he faces a bigger, more serious, challenge!

John McCain’s choice of Sarah Palin was the most inspired decision of his long race for the White House. The ads lampooning Barack Obama’s messianic pretensions were skillful as well. But the Palin pick accomplished several goals at once.
