Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is scheduled to meet with Afghan President Hamid Karzai next week in New York, campaign officials for GOP nominee John McCain confirmed Saturday.
Karzai and other world leaders will convene in New York for the opening of the U.N. General Assembly. Both McCain and Palin planned to be in New York during that time, in part so McCain can introduce the Alaska governor to the foreign dignitaries assembled there.
“I am almost 60 and come from Massachusetts. In all my years, I have never seen anything like this, and don’t want to see it ever again. I have a friend who is both feminist and left-leaning. I asked her why they hate Palin so much. She said, ‘Because she’s had it all: family, career. And she did it without a man like Bill Clinton helping her. She did it on her own.’”
The question was simple. Why are the Democrats so afraid of Palin and her popularity.
The answer was astonishing.
“You got to be kind to the disabled,” Rangel said.
That’s right. The charman of the powerful House Ways & Means Committee called Palin disabled — even when CBS 2 HD called him on it.
CBS 2 HD: “You got to be kind to the disabled?
Rangel: “Yes.”
CBS 2 HD: “She’s disabled?”
Rangel: “There’s no question about it politically. It’s a nightmare to think that a person’s foreign policy is based on their ability to look at Russia from where they live.
