Sarah Palin says Obama ‘palling around’ with terrorists

October 4, 2008 · Leave a Comment

So says the headline of an AP story reporting Gov. Palin’s comments during appearances in both Colorado and California today.

Not to worry, though; the Associated Press always has Barack Obama’s back.

They prefer to take issue with Gov. Palin’s choice of words (“palling around”) rather than focus on the fact and nature of Sen. Obama’s relationship with 60’s radical bomber Bill Ayers.

While it is known that Obama and Ayers live in the same Chicago neighborhood, served on a charity board together and had a fleeting political connection, it’s a stretch of any reading of the public record to say the pair ever palled around. And it’s simply wrong to suggest that they were associated while Ayers was committing terrorist acts.

Would the AP apologize for John McCain if he “serve(d) on a charity board” with David Duke? Would the Associated Press give Sarah Palin a pass for having a “fleeting political connection” to the former Grand Wizard even though she was only 10 years old when Duke started his chapter of the KKK?   Of course they wouldn’t.

Say what?

Oh, you think the two situations aren’t comparable because David Duke hasn’t repented from his racist ways?

Good point, but Bill Ayers has not repented from his radical domestic terrorist ways either.

Ironically, the New York Times ran a story about the Pentagon bomber in its September 11, 2001 issue. In the article, Bill Ayers is quoted as saying “I don’t regret setting bombs” and “I feel we didn’t do enough”.

And would he do it all again?

“I don’t want to discount the possibility.”

Obama’s “fleeting political connection” with Bill Ayers occurred between 1995-2000.

Do the math.

Thank you, Sarah Palin, for saying what needs to be said — what needs to be known by the American people before they make the huge mistake of going to the polls to vote for this very dangerous man.

Despite the media coaching, the cheesy winks and that lapel pin, the real attraction of the Alaska Governor is her authenticity

Eliza Doolittle didn’t win hearts for her newly acquired grasp of polite manners, but because of the hot, unschooled heart that oftentimes beat through her shell of shallow learning. And the joy of Mrs Palin, what endears her to Middle America and fascinates every British woman I know, is her quality that cannot be bottled and sold: authenticity.

Nielsen just released the ratings for the Biden/Palin debate (see press release below). Some interesting observations:

This is 17.5 million viewers more than the McCain/Obama debate last Friday.

More women (35.7 million) watched the debate than men (30.4 million)

Attacks on Palin are Attacks On You

October 4, 2008 · Leave a Comment

“You’re being told by the media propagandists that Sarah Palin is not qualified to be vice president. You’re being told she’s dumb. You’re being told she’s a religious extremist, that she’s dangerous. Let me be as clear about this as I know how. These attacks on Governor Palin are attacks on you and attacks on me. They are attacking every single person outside the Beltway, outside the New York-Washington axis, outside their social circle of elitist friends that represents what’s great about this country.”
