Palin campaigns in Maine
October 16, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Wrapping up her first campaign swing through New England, Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin told voters in Maine this morning that they face a stark choice on Nov. 4.
It’s a choice between a candidate — Democrat Barack Obama — who tolerates voter fraud and one — her running mate John McCain — who doesn’t, she said, referring to the brewing controversy over ACORN, a liberal activist group under investigation for submitting false voter registration cards. McCain raised the issue during Wednesday night’s debate; Obama said his campaign has no ties with ACORN, though he represented them in a voting rights case in Chicago years ago.
